Today, comScore, Inc. released updated documentation concerning holiday season-to-date online sales, highlighting Thanksgivings Day as well as Black Friday - both of which boast higher purchase rates than all the days leading up to those two combined.

In their report, it's mentioned that the market with the largest growth in comparison to the previous year is the Video Games, Consoles & Accessories market, with an increase of 134%, leaving other categories far behind.

The PLAYSTATION 3 console is credited with being one of the items that is at the cause of the increment. The article doesn't go into detail as far as actual sale numbers go for either the entire market or individual systems.

It's a positive thing to see e-commerce expanding at such a rate seeing as the video game sector is currently following a similar route, albeit in a more restricted setting.

People who are waiting for more detailed sale figures of their favored consoles and/or handheld will have to hold on for a little while longer, so make sure to check back here at PSInsider these coming days.
